French as a Second Language

Intensive 5-Week Program

Summer session July 5 to August 6

La Cité collégiale welcomes you to our beautiful and exciting National Capital Region. Our five-week French Immersion program offers you a unique linguistic experience you will remember forever! What better place to enhance your linguistic skills than in Ottawa, a city with many bilingual career opportunities?

Our 175 hour FSL program is offered at three levels: Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced. A linguistic placement test will determine the level where learners begin in the program.

FSL integrated skills courses focussing on all four main linguistic skills are offered in the mornings and oral communication courses in the afternoons. The Explore program will also introduce students to various facets of Canadian society with cultural, social and sports related activities organized evenings and weekends. Additionally, linguistic tutoring services are available for all our Explore summer students.
