French as a Second Language

Come learn French as a Second language in a French environment at La Cité collégiale and we will personalize your experience in an effort to help you achieve your individual goals.  Our 15 week hybrid courses will be a blend of:

• intensive in-class interactive theoretical lessons,
• small group personalized virtual classes,
• community outings with classmates and instructors in the target language!

How to register?

Register by phone, if you wish to pay with a credit card, 613 742-2483 or toll free 1 800 267-2483.

Register in person at the Registrar's Office, if you wish to pay by credit card, cash or bank debit card, at La Cité collégiale, 801 Aviation Parkway, Pavillion A, ground floor.

Late fees :

Please note that a $10 fee will be charged to students who enroll after the first course.

How to get an official transcript:

Refund policy and withdrawal

45 to 60 hours in-class courses
If you decide to withdraw from a course and would like to receive a partial refund ($10 administration fee), you need to notify the Registrar's Office in writing prior to the third scheduled class. You can send your request by fax 613 742-2481, by e-mail at info@lacitec.on.ca or in person.
Failure to do so will result in an "EC" notation (failure/échec) on the student's record.

No refund after the third scheduled class.

Mixed on-line / in-class courses
For mixed classes you can request a refund within 10 days of your first class ($10 administration fee). You can send your request by fax 613 742-2481, by e-mail at info@lacitec.on.ca or in person. Failure to do so will result in an "EC" notation (failure/échec) on the student's record.

No refund after 10 days of your first class.

Cancellation notice: The College reserves the right to cancel a course due to insufficient registration. If this situation occurs, a full refund will be issued.

What is auditing a course?
If you do not wish to complete class assignments, tests or formal evaluations, you may decide to audit a course. This status must be declared at the time of registration and cannot be changed to credit status or vice versa once the course has started. As you will have no marks, you will not receive an official transcript at the end of the course.

T2202A – tax form: If you wish to receive a printed T2202A form to apply for tax credit, please note that you are required to submit your Social Insurance Number upon registration.
